  1. Kızılay

A central meeting point with shops and cafés, and a metro–ANKARAY interchange. Check which exit and onward bus route fit your destination.

  2. Kavaklıdere & Tunalı Hilmi

Explore Tunalı Hilmi Street and take a break in Kuğulu Park, which has green space, seating and a pond. Check onward transport separately.

  3. Ulus & Kale

Use the castle and Museum of Anatolian Civilizations as landmarks for a cultural walk. This area introduces the older layers of Ankara.

GET TO KNOW ANKARA

A city to live in. Not just visit.

01

Find the right part of the capital

Kızılay is a central place for shops, cafés and connections, while Tunalı Hilmi and the old city offer different ways to spend time outside class. Use these areas as starting points to explore, then compare actual home-to-campus routes before deciding where to live.

02

Start with EGO’s route information

EGO operates buses, the metro and ANKARAY. Kızılay is a shared metro–ANKARAY interchange; ANKARAY runs between AŞTİ and Dikimevi. Check EGO’s maps and EGO CEP’TE for the service you need, especially for the final connection home after an evening out.

03

Make room for the museums

Visit Anıtkabir, or pair the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations with the castle area. Hamamönü offers restored historic houses and craft workshops for another day. Check museum opening information directly, and leave time to explore the surrounding streets.
