Who is responsible?

Uni Campus Türkiye is a brand of MEC Education. The company named below is the data controller for the accounts and services covered by this notice.

Information you share

We collect information directly when you create an account, complete your profile, save programs, prepare an application, or request advice or a package. Your browser also sends technical information needed to connect to the website.

Account & sign-in

Name, email address, country of residence, preferred language, a protected password hash, and a record that you have read this notice. Session records keep you signed in.

Study plans & support

Profile answers, academic information you enter, saved programs, application drafts and their history, consultation preferences, messages, package requests and service notifications.

Service & security records

Account activity and access records help us check permissions, investigate problems and prevent misuse. The hosting provider processes connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website.

Document uploads and direct university submissions are currently unavailable. A saved draft is not a submission to a university. Package requests do not collect payment-card details or start a paid subscription.

Why we use it

We use account and study information to provide the account, application-preparation and advisory services you request. Where necessary to establish or perform that service relationship, the basis is Article 5(2)(c) of Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

Permission checks and security records support our legitimate interest in a secure service, provided this does not override your fundamental rights (Article 5(2)(f)). Records needed to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or protect a right are processed on the corresponding grounds in Article 5(2)(ç) and (e).

Reading this notice is not permission for marketing. Account registration does not record optional marketing consent, and the website does not use advertising trackers.

Access & service providers

You can access your own account records. Authorized MEC Education administrators and assigned advisors can access the records needed for their role. Records are not public, and creating a draft does not automatically share it with a university.

Cloudflare provides website hosting and account-data infrastructure. Its services may process data outside Türkiye; this website does not promise storage exclusively in Türkiye. Hosting information is also covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Account & security emails

Cloudflare delivers password-reset links and password-change security notices using your account email address. It processes the recipient address, message content and delivery information for this purpose. Reset links expire after 30 minutes and work once; a completed reset ends all existing sessions. We never email your password. These service messages are separate from marketing.

If you choose an email, WhatsApp, map or university link, the destination service processes information under its own privacy terms. Please share only what is relevant to your enquiry.

Cookies & your browser

Sign-in cookie

The essential pera_session cookie keeps your session active for up to 7 days. It cannot be read by page scripts and is sent securely on the live site. Signing out ends the current session.

Language & planning preferences

Your language is remembered in a cookie for up to one year and in browser storage. Program comparisons and the application-preparation checklist stay in browser storage until you clear them. Living-cost calculator entries stay only while the page is open.

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and loading performance using page addresses, browser and device information, and approximate country-level location. It does not use cookies for this measurement.

You can remove cookies and stored preferences in your browser’s site-data settings. This can sign you out and reset your preferences; it does not delete records held in your account.

Retention & account choices

Signing out does not delete your profile, application drafts or support history. The portal does not currently remove those records automatically or offer a self-service account-deletion or export tool. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion; any records that must be retained for a legal obligation or the protection of a right will be explained when your request is assessed.

Your rights & how to reach us

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you may ask whether and how your data is processed, learn who receives it, request correction and, where the legal conditions are met, deletion or destruction and notification to recipients. You may also object to a result against you based solely on automated analysis and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Send your request from the email address registered with your account, or submit a written request to the company address below. Describe your request and the account it concerns. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity; do not send your password or unnecessary identity-document copies.

KVKK requests are answered as soon as possible and within 30 days, subject to the applicable legal procedure. The authority’s guidance explains your rights and further application options.

Students under 18

Profiles indicating an age under 18 are marked for guardian review and cannot create or advance applications. A parent or guardian should contact the team for guidance; the portal does not currently complete guardian approval.
