RECOGNITION

Uzbekistan: recognising a Turkish diploma

Use Uzbekistan’s published recognition service to identify the procedure for your qualification. The agency has also issued a dated correction to a regional automatic-recognition claim, which shows why an official rule and its effective date matter more than a social-media summary.

The legal basis

The official assessment agency cites Cabinet Resolution No. 620 of 24 July 2019 as the recognition framework. Use the current government service for your application category. Do not turn an older amendment summary into a claim that every institution or every distance-learning qualification is automatically eligible.

Check the scope of mutual-recognition claims

In a statement dated 21 November 2025, Uzbekistan’s assessment agency rejected a circulating claim of automatic mutual recognition among Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. This is a dated official statement, not proof that no later or narrower agreement can exist. For a claim made today, request the actual agreement and check its countries, qualifications, purpose and effective date.

Use the current government service

The recognition service on my.gov.uz identifies the responsible assessment agency and the application requirements. Begin there rather than relying on an agency’s old ministry name or an unverified report of institutional restructuring. Follow the official service link to confirm the receiving body and submission route.

What to do

The government service asks for the foreign education document and supplement, with the required certified Uzbek translation. It describes an expert-stage notification within 10 working days indicating a test route, direct recognition or refusal; that is not a promise that every final certificate is issued in ten days. Before enrolling, ask how your exact programme and attendance mode fit the rules, and investigate professional permission separately.

A FEW MORE ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

I saw a post saying regional diplomas are now automatically recognised. Is it true?

Do not rely on a social-media summary. Check the official statement or agreement for its date and scope, then confirm the route for your qualification through the government recognition service.

Does the form of study still matter?

Yes. Ask the destination authority about the exact attendance mode, study location, duration and entry year of your qualification. Do not assume that online, distance or part-time study follows the same recognition route as an on-campus full-time programme.
