PROCESS
Final registration at the university
An offer and completed registration are different stages. Confirm the method, deadline and documents in your own enrolment instructions, and keep proof that registration is complete. Do not make travel plans from another university’s calendar.
In this guide
Your enrolment deadline controls the process
Use the deadline in your university’s enrolment notice and offer. Registration periods can vary by intake and applicant, and may differ from the first day of teaching. Ask in advance whether late registration or deferral is possible; obtain written approval rather than assuming a grace period.
Confirm how documents must be submitted
A scan accepted for initial assessment may not complete registration. Follow the university’s instructions on online uploads, originals, certified copies and any later checks. Confirm whether personal attendance or an authorised representative is permitted before travelling.
- Identity and lawful-entry or stay evidence requested for your circumstances
- Diploma, transcript and accepted authentication or translations
- MEB equivalency where applicable, or a formally permitted undertaking
- Accepted admission and language results or exemption evidence
- Required payment evidence and photographs
Resolve equivalency and authentication early
Do not assume every applicant needs the same MEB document. Citizenship, school qualification and university procedure can affect the requirement. If a required certificate is pending, ask whether a formal undertaking is permitted and what deadline applies. A missing document is only deferred when the university expressly allows it.
What registration unlocks
After registration, confirm how to obtain your student certificate, activate your student account and register for courses. Coordinate residence paperwork promptly with the international office while your lawful stay remains valid. If registration is delayed, ask for instructions before an immigration deadline passes.
A FEW MORE ANSWERS
Frequently asked questions
Can someone else register on my behalf?
Some universities permit it with a power of attorney and some require the student in person. Ask your student affairs office in writing before relying on it, and get the answer naming the specific documents an authorised person would need.
What if a document is missing on the day?
Ask the registration office before the deadline. It may reject an incomplete file or permit a specific document later under written conditions. Keep that permission and the final submission date; do not assume a general grace period.
